First Christmas as a Mrs.

Christmas is truly my favorite holiday and this year was even more exciting, because it was my first Christmas as a Mrs! I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband that is great at gift giving. Since one of my goals is to become a better cook, and he is so encouraging, this gift was quite appropriate. I love the color orange and I also love how the apron has such flair!

What was your favorite Christmas gift this year?

Wedding Picture Preview

My original plan was to start at the beginning. I wanted to start blogging about the very beginning of my planning process, leading up to the main event and ultimately ending with the big day. Although, I am going to make an exception right out of the gates. I am going to share our photographer's wedding picture preview, because the photos are too magnificent to keep withheld any longer!

Without further a do, here is our preview....

Amy Carroll is an extremely talented photographer and such a pleasure to work with!

Hopefully these fabulous pictures have you hooked and will keep you coming back for more as I document what I experienced leading up to this amazing day!!!

Holiday Craft Project - Complete!

This weekend, Aletha from Pearls Events posted the cutest holiday craft project on her blog. I had been looking for a fun and easy way to display all the lovely Christmas cards that we have received. It was and easy and inexpensive project and best of all it only took me about 30 minutes to complete!

Heading to the mailbox this time of year, regardless of the cold temps, is a joyous event. It's exciting to see who's adorable face will show up on the next holiday card. I think personalized photo cards are such a great way to send holiday wishes.

I originally did not plan on doing a holiday card this year because we just finished sending out our thank-you cards that contained a wedding picture. I discoverd a deal at Costco that I couldnt' pass it up - 50 cards for $15. I was so excited about the deal that I didn't pay attention to the size when ordering them online. I arrived to pick up the cards in-store and was a bit surprised at the large size - 6 X 7 1/2. I guess we are going to make a big impact this holiday season!

Welcome to My Life

We did it - we tied the knot on Friday, October 3rd!!!

The day was absolutely perfect and I feel truly blessed to have been surrounded by so many amazing friends and family. It was the best day of my life thus far, although I know there is so much more to come, ie: kids!!!

Leading up to the wedding and even still - a lot of people keep asking me:

  1. Are you prepared for the "post wedding" blues?

  2. What are you going to do with all your time now that the planning is over?

  3. Will you get depressed with nothing to look forward to after the wedding is over?

My answer to those questions - no depression or blues here - nothing but love and happiness!

Yes, I did put a lot of hard work and time into planning the wedding. Yes, it is crazy to think that all that planning goes into one day and it's over quite quickly. Although, I keep one thing in focus - I married my best friend - that is all that truly matters!

In an effort to keep all of the memories fresh in my mind, I have decided to start this blog. My vision is for this to serve as an outlet for me to recap and document all of the planning, details and the big day! Then, ultimately, my goal is to have this transpire into a blog that follows all that is yet to come in our lives. Follow along and we can share this journey together!
